We booked a fairly last minute weekend break here (Friday - Monday), and for the great price we really weren't sure what to expect. We arrived at the park at midday on the Friday & were told that our caravan was ready for us, so we were able to go there straight away and get unpacked. We also discovered that our caravan had central heating, which we didn't realise when we made the booking, and was a lovely surprise. The caravan itself was lovely - modern, clean and had everything you need for a short break. The facilities were great. There are actually 3 indoor pools, one for very small kids, a fun splash pool, and another pool for serious swimmers. The only downside was that the outdoor pool area - lazy river & slides were closed for the season, which was disappointing but understandable given the time of year. The evening entertainment was fun, the kids loved it and the venue wasn't overcrowded. We ate in the Carousel restaurant once and the food was lovely. There are many play areas for the kids, crazy golf and a couple of funfair rides (we didn't actually get around to exploring these), as well as a pretty big arcade, a Burger King & Papa Johns on site, and the usual shop, which we found had pretty much everything you might need. The site itself is very big, but kept very clean and well sign-posted so easy to get around. Its also very close to the beach. The staff were all very friendly, and the one issue we needed to call maintenance about was dealt with in less than 10 minutes! We will definitely be coming back to Thorpe Park, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Just spent 5 days at Thorpe Park and it was very enjoyable, the Caravan was spotlessly clean, we were in a very quiet area "The Meadows" but close enough to all we needed, we've visited this park for 6 years now and we'll be back next year too, the ponds on the site has Swans, Ducks and Greylag Geese, we had a very enjoyable walk into Cleethorpes all along the front from the park it was a great shame the little train wasn't running but i'm sure it'll be back in action next time we visit.
