Thorpe Park :
We stayed at 22 Waterside and the caravan & location was excellent, nobody wanted to go home. Thanks very much!
Thorpe Park :
We found that the park was very child friendly, all the staff that we spoke to were very friendly and happy. The swimming pool was great fun, there is something there for all ages. The kids loved biking round the park on there bikes. We will re-book for another holiday.
Stayed in Thorpe park this is a large caravan park, it is very well looked after and very clean. Cleethorpes is great for kids not too busy expansive beach, great fish and chips. Lots of places to eat , Tesco extra not too far. The miniature railway was good fun. Grandchildren had a great time.
My family and I recently stopped at the Thorpe Park Haven Resort at Cleethorpes. It was a lovely relaxing break. We stayed in an area that was quite a distance from the main entertainment, but that was ideal for us, nice and quiet. The beach wad only a short walk away, again ideal for us. We will definitely be back.
After reading the reviews on here before we arrived, I was worried. However, I shouldn’t have been! The caravan was immaculate, although it wasn’t that close to the complex we weren’t to fussed as they even offer a free road train to get you around the complex. We have visited a different Haven site each year over the past 6 years and although this is a very busy site, it was fantastic. Lots to do including the local jungle zoo, which was so cheap for a morning of fun.
We stayed for a week in a private let right on the sea front. The park is huge and has brilliant access to the coastal path and the nature reserve next door.
Covid wise- we found that it was as safe as it could be.
The walk to Cleethorpes takes around half an hour and is flat. There is also a cycle path.
The beach on site is very sandy but the tide goes out a long way so not really a bathing beach. We had a great time and will definitely come back.
We stayed in a Prestige caravan - newer model (53 The Meadows) which was clean, spacious, reading lights in the lounge and bedroom, and tons of storage. Great to be able to park the car next to the caravan( unlike at Burnham on Sea) . My only gripe was that there was just 1 small bin for the whole caravan so I lined & utilised the mop bucket for the kitchen. Good location with just a few minutes walk to the complex, beach and exit. The whole site had a lot of grassy areas and space which was nice, proper recycling facilities and we found all the staff very helpful and friendly. I booked swimming for the weekend, as I guessed from previous experiences, that a lot of things do shut down once kids are back at school. I really enjoyed the pool and the Lazy River - too scared for the slides though!. As most sites are, drinks and food are very expensive so went elsewhere apart from one night to the Showbar and for bingo one afternoon.
We had a couple of problems with outside light not working, and no hot water once, but both were fixed extremely fast and efficiently.-brilliant service. The weather was fantastic and we had a great time - will probably go back next year.
